ENS | POTABEAM DX-75+ Portable HexBeam Antenna
New enhanced version of the venerable DX-75 Broadband HexBeam Antenna, introducing the POTABEAM DX-75+ in stealth black. Optimized hassle-free rapid deployment requires no tools, no tuning, and no complex spreader arm rigging.. This lightweight sturdy HexBeam antenna can be erected in minutes yet offers similar performance as a traditional two-element Yagi beam antenna.
POTABEAM Advantages:
- RF Gain of up to 10.2 dBi with up to 20 dB Front to Back Ratio
- High gain at low departure angles enhancing long-haul DX
- Low noise floor due in part to being horizontally polarized; however, directional beam antennas not only enhance forward gain they also nullify unwanted signals and noise from the opposite direction
- Smaller turning radius (66") compared to traditional beam antenna designs due to the reflected, folded dipole design
- Compact design lends its self well to portable (POTA/SOTA) and HOA deployments
Radiation Pattern:
Build Quality:
Engineered and tested to withstand demanding typical weather conditions and repetitive deployments for years to come. Carefully sourced construction materials offering the greatest strength, corrosion and UV resistance:
- Thermoplastic components are extruded using strong engineering grade copolymers which are highly temperature and UV resistant
- Telescopic Spreader Arms are made from rigid thick-wall RF transparent and UV resistant fiberglass tubing
- All threaded connections have corrosion resistant all metal threads and include stainless steel hardware
- Antenna Wire – Tunned and preassembled with crimped and soldered connection points. Flexible 14-AWG copper wire coated with relaxed PVC insulation. All connection points and Dacron cord wire spacers are coated in marine grade polyolefin polymer insulation. Our innovative waterproofed spacers (between the driver and reflector wire sections) allow for a consistent factory tune even in wet weather conditions.
Mast Fitment:
The DX75+ antenna hub will accept and clamp to most any fiberglass or metal mast with a 0.75” through 1.6” outside diameter. The hub includes a 1” insert/spacer for 1” OD or smaller diameter mast.
Easy Deployment:
All componets arrive preassembled and ready for a tool-free five step deployment. Sets up in under 7 minutes, Setup Video on YouTube.
POTABEAM Componets Included:
- DX-75+ HexBeam Hub plus a 1" hub insert/spacer
- 6 telescopic fiberglass Spreader Arms with wire clasp tips
- Assembled antenna wire with polyolefin insolated Dacron cord spacers
- Dacron cord with looped ends for Spacer Arms
- Nylon spreader arm soft case with shoulder sling
